The Euro 2012 Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine.

 

The final tournament of UEFA Euro 2012 will take place between the 8th of June and the 1st of July 2012, in a mix of stadiums in Poland and the Ukraine.

Germany

Currently all 3,4,5,6 berth motorhomes are booked out, except as noted below. However for those who are looking to travel on a budget, we have some 2 berth motorhomes available in Regensburg, approx. 75 km North of Munich on the way to Poland. These 2 berth motorhomes have 4 homologated seats (this means there are 4 seats with seatbelts), and if 2 people are ok to sleep in a tent, this may be an option for you guys.

If you're planning to follow your team to Euro 2012 you should book your motorhome soon. A huge number of football fans are expected to make the journey leading to huge demand for motorhomes because of the flexibility and value they offer.

 

In their article "On the road to the Euros", the Irish Sun newspaper (December 1st) comment that Irish fans are quickly booking up motorhomes for the Euro 2012 expedition. The article quotes our CEO, Leslie Brown, who points out that "the longer people wait to book, the further west they are going to have to travel from. We estimate that by next week people will have to collect their vehicles in Paris". As David Murphy, a footy fan who has already secured a six-man camper van for the trip, states "It promises to be some adventure no matter what".

 

 

 

MOTORHOME RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE TO GO TO THE UKRAINE!

 

Most of our suppliers throughout Europe do not allow their motorhomes to be taken to the Ukraine, as they are unable to arrange insurance for the vehicle while in that country. However, we have some suppliers who have arranged insurance, and we have information on them below. As we find more suppliers who can help, we will add them to the list.

 

It will not be possible to take the motorhomes to matches hosted in the Ukraine unless booked from our suppliers noted below!

 

Of course, any of our suppliers throughout Europe will allow their motorhomes to be taken to Poland with no special arrangements necessary.

 

GERMANY

 

If you book one of the following motorhomes from our supplier based in the following locations, you will be able to take it to the Ukraine.

 

 

 

ITALY

 

We have suppliers in Italy that will allow their motorhomes to be taken to the Ukraine, under the Green Card Insurance program. If you wish to take advantage of this, you can book your motorhome in Italy, and you will be able to take it into the Ukraine. During the booking process, you will see a comment box at the end of the booking form, and you must note there that you plan to take the motorhome to the Ukraine! This is to ensure the proper insurance documentation is provided when you collect your motorhome!

 

It would also be a good idea to look at renting with unlimited mileage, as it could get very expensive if you choose limited mileage and have to drive a long way to fixtures.

 

 

At the moment, we do not have information on where and when the matches take place, as the qualifying stages and playoffs are still ongoing.

 

We do not currently have any campervan suppliers in Poland, but it will be possible to rent motorhomes throughout Europe, for example in Germany, France, Italy and Spain, and then simply drive to the matches in Poland. You will, however, in most cases, have to return the motorhome back to the depot where you collected it.

 

There are exceptions to this. If you take a look at our One Way Motorhome Rentals page, you can see that several of our suppliers allow motorhome pickups and dropoffs in different countries. With a little advance planning, you can take advantage of this. Please note, however, that these one-way trips have a minimum rental duration of 14 days.

 

Also, you should consider that the airlines are very much aware that the UEFA Euro 2012 Championship is taking place next year, and are raising their fares accordingly for destinations close to Poland and the Ukraine. You could consider booking your motorhome and flights to start from further away, it would be considerably cheaper. Granted, you would have further to drive, but consider adding some days to your trip, and make a holiday of it.

 

Our experience gained over the last several years tells us that availability of campervans will rapidly disappear. If you are thinking of going to the UEFA Euro 2012 Championship, you should book your motorhome as early as possible.
